陰 森 凄 幽 －インシンセイユウ－ in-shin-sei-yuu
今回私は、各地の樹林に足を運び入れ、その場その場で自分の感じた姿を捉えてきました。遠目では同じように見える樹林ですが、いざ踏み込んでみると、その幹や枝の絡み合った姿や凛とした姿からは、長い時間を掛けて生き続けている生命力それだけでなく、それぞれの持つ特有の個性というものが伝わってきます。
撮影当初は、樹林は凛としているという自分の概念もあって、ひとつのテイストに落とし込もうとしたのですが、各地の樹林を歩き続けているうちに、そんなきれいな面ばかり追っていることに違和感を感じ、様々な角度から捉えることにしました。
そもそも樹林は、その土地その土地で育っている気候も環境も違い、それは人間同様ひとつの型には決して収まらない唯一無二な姿であるということに改めて気付かされます。
今回は、そんな個性的な木々の姿に版画の様な力強さ、繊細さに通ずるものを感じ、版画用紙を用いて唯一無二な樹林の姿というものを表現しました。
タイトルは「陰 森 凄 幽 ーインシンセイユウー」。
「陰森凄幽」というのは、「樹木が鬱蒼（うっそう）と生い茂って薄暗く、ひどく静まり返っていること」という意味の四字熟語であります。

This time, I have visited the forests of various places and captured what I felt on the spot. The trees look the same from a distance, but when you step inside, you can see not only the vitality that has survived for a long time, but also the unique characteristics of each, from the intertwined trunks and branches and the dignified appearance. It conveys individuality.
At the beginning of the filming, I had my own concept that trees are dignified, so I tried to incorporate it into a single taste, but as I continued to walk through the forests in various places, I felt uncomfortable that I was only chasing such a beautiful side. I decided to capture it from various angles.
In the first place, trees grow in different climates and environments depending on the land.
This time, I felt the power and delicacy of woodblock prints in such unique trees, so I used woodblock paper to express the unique appearance of a forest.
The title is “in-shin-sei-yuu”.
“in-shin-sei-yuu”. is a four-letter idiom that means “an area where trees are densely overgrown, gloomy, and terribly quiet”.
